To plan, teach and review lessons that meet the EOTC curriculum guidelines, and manage students in outdoor environments.
  • Management and supervision around water
  • Management of responses to the characteristics of children and young people in an emergency situation
  • The ability to plan and implement supervision structures and event logistics to ensure correct management of multiple groups, activities, staff and transportation on an EOTC event
  • Teaching 
  • Outdoor experience
  • Be a New Zealand certified teacher
  • Pre-requisite for entry to a programme: hold the New Zealand Certificate in Outdoor Leadership (Level 4) with EOTC context or be able to demonstrate equivalent skills and knowledge
